Have you ever been forced naming your child something you didn't want to?

Not exactly, but we had decided on a name we both liked. "Family name" being the first (his family name) but calling him by the middle name. After having him and seeing him I wanted to call him Patrick (male version of my mothers name) but he refused and put up a big fuss. At the end I gave in and we named him the name we decided on but I'm still a little irritated after the fact that he still got his familys namesake and neither of my kids have anything from my family name wise.
