HELP!!! MOSQUITO BITE QUESTION!!!!?

ok so yesterday i was doing yard work and I got lots of mosquito bites. Now, 1 day later, there is a ton of little red dots around one of them! What could this be? Could it be Malaria? I live in Michigan and don't know if mosquitoes carry it. Help!
